With the launch of the 3rd annual Babies In Beanies photo competition, Snowgum Studio is looking for Canberra’s Cutest Baby in a Beanie! The competition was established to raise funds for the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation (NCIF), a local Canberra charity which assists in the development of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Canberra Hospital. The Babies In Beanies competition is open to all children aged 0-5 years with babies being photographed at Canberra’s picturesque Snowgum Studio. Our studio has an indoor and unique outdoor studio which is perfect to capture all the little cuties on film.
I am passionate about supporting the NICF after my Canberra based sister, had to go to Sydney for the birth of her premature twins because of lack of resources in the Neonatal Intensive Unit at Canberra Hospital. …the children have thrived and are now happy and healthy, but there are many more families and babies who need these valuable services in the Canberra Region every day.
The Unit admits approximately 650 babies each year, more than 150 of whom require assisted ventilation using sophisticated equipment not available elsewhere. The Babies In Beanies competition will raise funds specifically for a Babytherm 8000 Warming Bed which is perfect for taking babies to and from surgery and keeping them warm.
Parents can enter their children in the competition online at www.snowgumstudio.com.au. There is a $30 entry fee of which ALL will be donated to the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation towards our goal of purchasing a Babytherm 8000. The winner of the competition will be featured on the front cover of the Canberra Weekly as well as a large framed portrait and other prizes. There are also prizes for runner up, highest sponsorship and some other fun categories! Join in the fun with other families and support this wonderful charity!
